Congratulations to Fin Cotter who scored 39 points to win by 6! That was a great effort in difficult scoring conditions. Fin has been cot 1.9 to 17.0(17).
There were two 2’s at the 3rd from Alan Walter and Scott Worton and blobless rounds from Dave Griggs and Steve Biggin.
Despite Fin’s great score, he didn’t improve on his Winter Eclectic score so with only next Sunday to count Hamish Green still leads from Fin.
Remember it’s maintenance week this week so if you are playing please remember to give the green staff every courtesy so they can get on with this vital task. And no moaning if the course isn’t in pristine shape for a few weeks!! We all know it’s a temporary thing done for the good of the course.
Finally, a few words down about the thorny subject of slow play. I’m sure we have all either been behind slow groups and been part of a slow group and we know how frustrating it can be. That’s not to say that we should be running round the course.
We would therefore urge you all to just think about how you play and whether the way you play is having a negative impact on either your game or those around you. The events surrounding Norman and what he and his family are going through just goes to seen how life can change in an instant and we should do everything we can to make every game of golf an enjoyable as we can for ourselves and our playing partners.
